Adam and Julie’s Portland Engagement Photography Session at Kelley Point Park

Kelley Point Park, Portland Engagement Photography

Adam and Julie joined me on a most beautiful afternoon in Portland Oregon at the beautiful Kelley Point Park. Located on the northwest part of Portland, which set a perfect backdrop for their engagement photography session. Some of the beautiful aspects of this park was the beachfront view that surrounded this tall tree beauty and the nature around. Although many people were there you felt as though you had the place to yourself. There are many little areas and private beach locations that opened up to the Columbia River. As we set off Julie started in a cute little dress that was perfect for walking on the sandy beach and stepping in the water as they held hands and walked along the shore. As we explored more into the wilderness of this park we found many beautiful secluded areas perfect for some photo ops! It was a gorgeous sunny day and the green trees and wispy bushes made for a romantic photo session.

Pittock Mansion Hiking | Portland, Oregon

I had a chance to do some hiking right outside of downtown Portland and see Pittock Mansion. This beautiful historic landmark hosts amazing views of the city of Portland where you can see the famous Mount Hood in the distance. As we hiked up and down trails taking me around windy and green scenic views I was just taken back by how beautiful this nature setting is, with gorgeous weather and amazing trees. I can’t wait to photograph weddings and other portrait sessions in this beautiful forest of life. Have a peek into this breathtaking wilderness right outside Portland.

Douglas Family Portraits | Cosmopolitan | Las Vegas, NV.

My good friends and art lovers the Douglas’s wanted some family photos taken and with this hot hot heat we wanted to go in doors for our photo session. Juliet has passion for music and Derek a love for street art and with this we set our eyes at the infamous Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. Before we even started our session this day I got a call that Bailey must have had an allergic reaction and her eye was swollen. As we laughed about how every time we plan to do something there is always some series of unfortunate events but hey we love a challenge. Once they arrived and we got settled in we got started right away, as with babies and children your time is always uncertain with their attention levels. This is why I think family photography is a blast, that uncertain unpredictable nature of children keeps me on my toes. So as we started we wanted to loosen up and use a nice backdrop that would allow them to open up and express themselves, and I just loved the ferris wheel art on this wall so much. There is one image I will be posting soon once I am finished as I felt like getting a little bit out of my box and mixing photography with street art as a special gift. Stay tuned for this!

I feel we captured the moments that reflect the fun, shy and artsy side that resemble this beautiful family. I hope you enjoy and am looking forward to fall family photography session starting soon! I am sure you will see the Douglas’s in a fun Holiday family photography session soon!
