Portland Engagement

Morriah and Jake | Downtown Portland

November is typically not the most chosen month in Portland for an Engagement Photography Session.  In fact unless your looking for a rainy styled shoot your most likely not going to see much sun.  Well on this beautiful November day when just the day before was rainy and overacted.  The clouds parted ways and blessed us with beautiful light for this fun Portland Engagement Session.  With their Wedding day this Summer quickly approaching I would love to share the love for two High School sweet hearts where Love is truly the happiness and growth they have shared over the years.

After walking a few blocks I saw a nice little train station, and may or may not have ignored some signs telling us not to enter.  With a little vision of a favorite movie of mine, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I had said lets do it LOL.  A lonely train station with two people in love is the recipe for some romance.  So as we danced around this location the sun was beaming down through the clouds and gave me a chance to capture some beautiful moments between the two.
Council Crest Park is more than a beautiful location above the city, this is also where Jake confessed his love and asked Morriah for her hand in Marriage.  We almost skipped this spot as we had many locations we wanted to visit but there was no way I was going to walk away from this opportunity to have them reflect on this magical day.  As they held close I backed away and gave them time together to be alone and allow me to photograph a few special private moments for them.  I must say the experience and look in their eyes through this breathtaking view was stellar.  Such a moment I am honored and proud to be a part of.Not bad in the great North West for some Fall leaves!  Talk about color range and that Fall season.  Who could resist kicking big piles of leaves anyway.  We are all young at heart and its always great to be a kid again!Ah the breathtaking view and experience of the amazing Multnomah Falls located just outside Portland.  A moment to step back and see a magnificent natural masterpiece of life.  No matter where you look at this waterfall it is beautiful.  It truly is a show stopper and a great way to end our amazing day together.  It is wild to look up and just see how small in this world we truly are but how big are hearts can hold a moment together and let the world stop for a second.  A second to spend with your lover and life partner.  Again I am honored for every couple that allows me to photograph these moments in their lives.

This Summer their beautiful Wedding day will be held at the Castaway in the Downtown Portland.  The amazing Luxe Event Productions team will be producing a magical day for these two and is sure to be one for the books.  Thank you for stopping by and enjoying my passion.
