When I first meet a potential client for a wedding or family photo session one of the first things I try to bring up is that I love to be that photographer who captures moments in your life as you grow and your family grows.  From a wedding day can soon turn into expecting your first child or adding on to your growing family.  So when I hear of my brides expecting after their wedding day and get to capture important moments like maternity sessions and newborn sessions it always makes me happy.  Alicia and Jan are one of those couples for sure!  I got a chance back in 2010 to photograph their Wedding Day and had such a blast with their family and friends.  About a year and half later I found out they were expecting their first child, a baby boy!  So we set out to the Dry Lake Bed for her Maternity Photography Session.  I think every woman who brings a child into this world has that glow and sense of passion for their unborn child in their eyes and I must say Alicia had this to a T.  I knew that they would be amazing loving parents and I couldn’t wait to meet their little bundle of joy.  Without further wait say hi to Aiden and his Mom and Dad.

Tasha and Tyler have to be the cuddliest cute couple out there.  Although they are not engaged…. yet I can’t wait for they day that comes because I had such a blast with them this sunny Portland afternoon while we navigated through a gorgeous downtown Portland park for some beautiful portraits.  Tasha the petite and bubbly girl had a few fun outfits that she rocked while Tyler looking very fit and comfortable in front of the camera made my job this day too easy.  After a day together shooting a wedding inspired shoot I took them out for a couples photography session and was blown away by the end result.  As we talked and got to know each other I learned more and more about them and future plans.  I hope to catch up with them soon and would love to get them in front of my camera soon.  For now enjoy our time together on this lovely day.

What I love about these stairs is that as many time Tasha and Tyler have been to this park they had never noticed this amazing staircase before.  This is why I tell my couples during our photography sessions that I like to look in not so obvious locations and many times theres a little walk ahead of us but it pays off in the end.  I swear this staircase although huge was hidden if you happened to glance over and not notice it between the big bushes surrounding it.

Are you in love?  Married, engaged or just have that special someone.  Well I am here to say that is all the best reasons to have a moment in your life captured then.  Misty and Greg are happily married and have been for several years.  Their love is unconditional and gets stronger every day.  Misty is a successful wedding planner of Luxe Event Productions in Portland Oregon and Greg is a successful entrepreneur himself and partner of Luxe Events.  These two are a power couple and have made great friends in their community while hosting bridal shows like Committed, Marry Me and the Luxe Bridal Event.  Needless to say these two are awesome and want to share their talents and passion with the world.  So it was my pleasure to photograph these lovely two on the Willamette River near downtown Portland for a couples session.  Summers are beautiful in Portland and we soaked up every minute of it before grabbing a delicious dinner together.  I will be photographing the Luxe ladies this month and look forward to showing you this gorgeous group of wedding design and planners soon.  For now meet the Damico’s a fun life loving and giving couple who I am very happy to know and have built a friendship for life with.

Ok before I get started the first thing you will notice beside this gorgeous and happy couple is that Ken the groom resembles someone big time LOL.  If there are any Office fans you know who I am talking about and Ken gets it all the time.  Yes Jim Halpert ha ha, I was cracking up when we first met and I kid you not same facial expressions and all.  Anyway lets not avoid his beautiful and stunning bride to be Diana whom with her lovable laugh and up front personality clicked with me when we met at the Canyon Gate Country Club‘s open house. With the talk of her big Romanian wedding day which would be full of dancing and crazy antics I knew this would be a wedding I would be proud to photograph.

Once I was chosen to be their wedding photographer we then had to choose a location and feel for their engagement photography session.  Now Las Vegas has some areas that many love to go and shoot at and can be seen quite a bit.  One of those places is Lake Las Vegas known for the village and waterfall areas.  Well I like to shoot there from time to time as well and for this session I wanted to go to the not so popular spots and dig to find my own areas.  After a nice walk shared by several stories and laughs we came to a couple areas I love and began our engagement session.  Diana’ beautiful white summer dress and Ken’s summer outfit fit with his white linen shirt and blue shorts were perfect for this little get away from the city session.  Hope you enjoy a few from this beautiful day together.
