Bjorn and Kate put on their wedding attire for this special post wedding photography session in Lake Las Vegas. We started at the beautiful Westin and ventured off to a few more spots that I think turned out magical. Kates dress is a stunning custom made Wedding gown by designer Oliver Tolentino who did an amazing job on the details of this dress. I must say I love seeing my brides wedding gowns as I never know what they will look like when all put together and this dress was a show stopper for sure. So as to not confuse we set out for a Trash the Dress session but we had no intention on trashing this dress. For me a post wedding session, day after or Trash the Dress session should have purpose and feel not just a demolition session of a beautiful dress. Unless this massacre has purpose and a point. We have been in long communication about when to capture this session as with busy schedules and post wedding craziness we finally got to spend some time together and on such a perfect day. The sun was setting so nicely and these two lit up the camera once again for some beautiful photographs that will preserve this moment in time forever.

Christina and John’s Day After Session (Trash the Dress) in Oberlin, Ohio.

After an amazing wedding in Oberlin we woke the next day with fresh snow on the ground and new we had to take full advantage of it. We had scouted some beautiful locations and some random ones as well. I wanted something different and not just happy smiley, but more impactful through the eyes. I love the look I achieved and Christina and John were such troopers for baring the cold weather. Enjoy these and check out their wedding post if you haven’t already.

Can’t beat these amazing blue eyes in this climate, just POP! What a great time we had and such amazing memories captured. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your lives.

This was such a fun concept photography shoot I was happy to be a part of. Many thanks to Anne Claire and Brian Osman for rocking out this shoot with me, they were so amazing to work with no matter what the weather had in store for us. Juliet Douglas and Angelica McDonnell of Green Orchid Events was great to work with on planning this shoot and her concept was amazing. I am honored to have this shoot featured on Rock ‘n Roll Bride and I look forward to doing more shoots like this with many more couples!

What else can i say but I feel in love with this concept shoot when brought to me by Juliet Douglas of Green Orchid Events. I knew I had to find the perfect location as it had to be right for everything to fit the bride and groom as well as work well with the floral being designed by the fabulous Enchanted Florist. Dry Lake Bed Wedding / Trash the Dress Photography Shoot

Where to begin about this shoot, this was a great idea that some of us thought up to be a Mad Hatter style photo shoot. We took in the colors and feel of the theme and kind of made it our own. All the crazy elements that went into this shoot and the unforeseen craziness of the natural elements that the Las Vegas desert brings made for a crazy time. Our couple whom are engaged to be married were such troopers and up for anything we could throw at them. Needless to say we all we were covered in dirt and could use a nice wash after this shoot. I look forward to more great shoots like this in the future and to continue thinking up great inspirations to keep me thinking outside the box. Here is a taste of our adventures out at the beautiful dry lake bed. Special thanks again to Eva and Mike and I llok forward to your future wedding!

Floral and inspiration behind the shoot was Weeds Floral. The Lovely Cake was created by the girls of Gimme Some Sugar, and I must say it was a killer looking cake!
